Carolyn Klingbeil Grade 3 Teacher
Soon after her son and his family began attending Colonial, Carolyn Klingbeil found that there was “no question but that [she] would join them.” Having grown up in a Christian home, Carolyn became a believer one night during family devotions. In June of 1993, Carolyn found a church home in Colonial.
Looking back, she has “been involved in various children’s ministries all of [her] adult life and believe[s] that this is how the Lord has gifted [her].” Not long after coming to Colonial, the opportunity arose for Carolyn to start serving in our Children’s Ministries. Now you can find her teaching a grade 3 class on Sunday mornings. Carolyn reminds us that “if you love children and relate well with them and if you love to teach God’s Word, there is a place for you in Children’s Ministries.”

Stephanie Conklin 11:00am Elementary Hour Coordinator
In 2003, the Conklin family started attending CBC after the Lord led them here through S.E.E.K., a homeschool co-op which meets weekly at Colonial throughout the school year. Now serving as an Elementary Hour Coordinator on Sunday mornings, Stephanie uses her gift of “organizing things so that they run smoothly [to help] the teachers minister God’s Truth to the children.” Despite not being able to interact with the children as much as she would like, Stephanie knows that she is one of the first people families see when entering the Elementary hallways and she strives to “share Christ with a friendly and welcoming attitude.” Stephanie encourages others that “this is an opportunity to pass on the truth of God’s Word to the next generations of believers!”
