Homeschool Graduation Print

 

Each May we plan and host a graduation ceremony for High School graduates. This is a special way to celebrate the accomplishments of these hard working students. Registration is now open.

Homeschool Graduation and Senior Breakfast

Isaiah 40 Homeschoolers and H.A.R.C. are pleased to announce a special Graduation Ceremony for 2010 graduates. Graduation takes place on Saturday, May 8 at 2:30 PM.

The day will begin with a special Senior Breakfast at 9:30 AM. The Graduation Ceremony will begin at 2:30PM. (Rehearsal is May 7 at 1:30PM. At least one parent must attend rehersal.) Immediately following the ceremony, there will be a reception for graduates and guests.

Registration Deadline: April 4
Biography Deadline: April 4
Rehearsal: May 7 at 1:30PM
Senior Breakfast: May 8 at 9:30AM (Parlor)
Graduation: May 8 at 2:30PM (Chapel)

The cost for all of these events is $50.00 per graduate. The deadline is April 4. When registering, you will need the following information:

  • Full name of graduate as it will appear on the program
  • Name of parents to appear on program
  • Contact phone and email (this is a must)
  • Full address to send pictures
  • Gender
  • Birthdate of graduate
  • GPA of graduate
  • HARC classes taken if any.
  • Name of School as it will appear on the program
  • Honor Society Member? (yes or no)
  • Number of family members(parents and siblings) attending the Senior Breakfast including graduate (Maximum or 5.)

Requirements

In addition to the registration form, we need to receive the following by April 4:

  • One paragraph bio on the graduate which will be read during the ceremony.

You Will Also Need to Bring:

  • This is a cap and gown event. Each student is responsible to obtain their own black cap and gown.
  • Tassel in a color of your choosing.
  • Diploma and diploma cover. (Black or NCHE Green)
  • Single gold honor cords for those students in an Honor Society.
  • Gold stolls for students with a GPA of at least 3.75

Miscellaneous:

  • Each student must wear “church” clothes – modest dresses for girls, dress shirt, tie and dress slacks for boys. Black shoes for both; no “flip flops.”
  • Each graduate will have space to set up a display. This usually includes: trifold project board that has the name of the graduate, senior picture, any pictures, letters, etc. that communicates who the graduate is. This area may also include any memorabilia about the graduate. These will be set up in the Adult Chapel for graduation attendees to visit during the reception. Include a basket for cards and gifts.
  • Parents will have a time at the breakfast to share personal words with their graduate and the group. Please have an outline or letter to share. Limit to 2 minutes.
