February 7 is National Scout Sunday. All Scouts should wear their uniform to church on Sunday morning. Boys from Colonial's Pack 613 will be participating by helping the ushers greet worshippers and hand out Communiques and by assisting with the collection of food in "Bumper Crop." Members of Pack 613 will receive more information soon.
We are also pleased to announce the formation of Boy Scout Troop 613. Our new troop will charter in April. Boy Scouts who would like to transfer into Colonial's troop, or Webelos who are looking for a troop to bridge into should contact us. Of course, boys who are interested in getting started with scouting are also welcome. For information, contact our Scout Master, Tim Taylor at

I have never seen one of these events, but I have heard of them, and have been impressed with what I have learned. If you have a daughter, age 8-12, and are concerned about purity and modesty, I encourage you to attend. This event is coming to Raleigh on February 20. Today's girls face pressures their moms didn't know until they were in high school. Secret Keeper Girl's Live Event offers moms proven tools to coach their 8 to 12-year-old girls into meaningful friendships, true beauty, biblical modesty, and vibrant purity!

If you attend, please email me and let me know what it was like and what you thought. Scott Wylie |
As you plan your year, hare are some regional events for you to consider for yourself and your kids. If you need any information on any of these, you should contact the organization directly. My family has participated in most of these events in the past, and I recommend them all.
